About Free IQ Test and Who Runs It

Who runs this site?

Free IQ Test is built and run by 1000 Ventures. We make small web tools that answer one question well, such as a reaction time test, a color vision test and a microphone check. You can see them on our other tools page. You can reach us at michael@1000ventures.io.

Why did we make an IQ test?

Lots of people search for a free IQ test, and many of the sites they find make them wait, sign up or pay before they see a result. We wanted one that gives the answer straight away and tells you plainly what the answer is worth.

How were the questions written?

We wrote every question ourselves. The puzzles use well known ideas, such as number rules, analogies, matrices and rotation, but the questions themselves are new. The shape puzzles are drawn by code from the rule behind them, and we check that each has exactly one right answer. We did not copy from any other test.

What this site is and is not

• It is an entertainment quiz that gives an estimate.
• It is not a clinical test and not a medical or psychological diagnosis.
• Its score table is ours and was not built from a large group of test takers. The method page shows it in full.
• We make no claim about how many people have taken it and show no reviews.

How do we pay for it?

The site shows no ads today. If that changes, we will say so on the privacy page first. We will never put your result behind a payment or an email request.
